Man Arrested With Stolen Vehicle

Monday, at 1:35pm, Syracuse Police observed a 2010 Honda Accord that had been previously reported stolen from the City of Syracuse.

The officer attempted to conduct a vehicle and traffic stop of the car, but the driver would not stop. The car sped up and the driver drove through a number of intersections, failing to stop at each of the stop signs. The vehicle then collided with a wooden gate located at the dead end of Caleb Ave. The driver then fled on foot.

Officers found the driver hiding near the athletic fields of Henninger High School.  He was identified as Daniel Cuozzo, 28, of 511 Ash Street, Syracuse.

Cuozzo was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny in the Third Degree, Criminal Possession of a Stolen Property in the Third Degree, and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle in the Third Degree.

Cuozzo was also issued a number of Uniformed Traffic Tickets for various vehicle and traffic law offenses.
