Syracuse, N.Y. - A life-time of public service takes a new direction at the end of the year. 

Central New York Republican stalwart John DeFrancisco will not seek re-election. He has spent the last 26-years representing Central New York in the New York State Senate. He was on the Syracuse Common Council and the Syracuse City School Board before that.
