Whitesboro, N.Y. - A Whitesboro police officer is dead after a car crash.
State Police say a vehicle hit the officer's patrol vehicle last night at the intersection of Westmoreland Street and Oriskany Boulevard. The cop was pronounced dead at a Utica hospital but police aren't releasing the officer's identity yet.
The driver of the other vehicle was taken to the hospital and is expected to survive. It isn't known if that driver faces charges.
