A young volunteer firefighter died early Sunday when his car hit a tree in the town of Lysander early Sunday morning.
State police say 22-year-old Joseph Donhouser of Fulton reportedly hit the tree on Lamson Road at about 6AM. Donhouser was pronounced dead at the scene. Donhouser reportedly worked with the Lysander fire department for about 8 months and was described by officials there as a "family man." Donhouser is survived by a 9-month-old daughter. The investigation into the firefighter's death remains under investigation.
