Syracuse Lawyer Slapped With Fine After Making Bomb Threat

A Syracuse lawyer has avoided jail time after she admitted to phoning in a bomb threat to the daycare center inside the federal building in Syracuse two years ago.

Jacqueline Jones was slapped with probation and a 20 thousand dollar fine instead. The feds say Jones phoned in the threat that day because she didn't want to attend a contentious hearing for one of her clients. Prosecutors wanted the judge to at least sentence Jones to six months in jail.
