Teenage Boy is Syracuse's 11th Homicide

A teenager is Syracuse's 11th homicide victim of the year.  

Officers were sent to the corner of Cannon Street and Fernwood Avenue to respond to a shots-fired call and found a teenaged male with a gunshot wound who later died at the hospital.  The victim has been identified as Syracuse police looking into the city's 11th homicide of 2017.  Officers responded to a shots-fired call late last night and found a male in his teens with a gunshot wound who died at the hospital.   The victim is 15-year-old Akil Williams.  Police say they are working on talking to and finding anyone who may have seen what happened, or know something about the shooting.
