Oswego County Health officials are worried about a recent spike in needles and syringes that are being improperly disposed.
The County Health Department says the needles and syringes are showing up at public parks, playgrounds and on sidewalks.
They pose a real health risk to anyone who may come in contact with them. The health department claims these needles aren't being used by drug addicts, but rather by people who used syringes and needles for medical conditions and are improperly disposing them.
The health department is now urging anyone who come across them, to contact the health department.
