Police say two people are dead after a motorcycle and a car collided head on at an intersection on Oneida County.
Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies say the car was heading south on Route 12 around 4 p.m. Tuesday when it made a left turn in the Town of Boonville.
Deputies say a north-bound motorcycle being drive by 20 year old Mitchell Mashaw of Port Leyden crashed into the car, which burst into flames.
The car's driver, 78 year old Thomas Grower of Forestport, and the motorcyclist were both killed. Both drivers pronounced dead at the scene and attempts by people driving by the save the victims failed.
Deputies are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident or has information the motorcyclist's actions prior to the accident to contact them.
