The Syracuse School District was forced to call in the cops today after a teacher was attacked by a student.

In a brief statement, the city school district says the attack occurred on a teacher at Lincoln Middle School while that teacher was acting in place of the school principal.

The teacher hasn't been identified, but was attacked by a student with an ink pen resulting in minor abrasions on the teacher's stomach and wrist area.

The district is calling the behavior unacceptable and the Syracuse Police Department was immediately contacted and that student is now being disciplined. No word on whether the student is facing any criminal charges.
