Syracuse Police say they've caught up with a murder suspect after getting tips from the public.
On Thursday, police said they were actively searching for 22 year old Alex Rosario whow as wanted for the murder of Juan Martinez and the shooting of a second victim on August 1st. Police said that Rosario was armed and dangerous.
The police received an anonymous tip from a citizen who said they saw a picture of Rosario on the news and gave police and address where the suspect was located. He was found in an apartment on West Onondaga Avenue.
He was found in bed and was take into custody without incident.
Police say the arrest is a great example of the combined cooperation of the police, the news media and citizens who are willing to get involved in assisting the police by providing information that led to the arrest of a dangerous and armed criminal.
