Syracuse, N.Y. - Police in Syracuse have released the name of the man who was fatally shot on a city street earlier this week.

Officials say the victim of Tuesday night's shooting was 23-year-old Martin Paulk of Syracuse.

Officers say he was gunned down around 8 p.m. Tuesday at a Syracuse intersection. Witnesses tell police that multiple shots were fired and two male suspects were seen running from the area.

No arrests have been reported.

The slaying was Syracuse's first homicide of 2014.
