Syracuse Police have a suspect in custody who's been charged with robbing three banks.

Officers says 24-year-old Lamar Fitch was arrested Monday, shortly after he held up the ACMG Federal Credit Union on South Salina Street.  They say Fitch handed the teller a note demanding money and then fled on foot.  Fitch is also accused of robbing a bank in February and another credit union last month.  Police got a tip that Fitch was hiding out in a home on Crippen Street, and he was found in the basement.  Fitch has been charged with three counts of robbery and grand larceny.
