Onondaga County Sheriff Kevin E. Walsh reports that sheriff detectives working with the Manlius Police Department arrested several individuals that were involved in multiple burglaries throughout Onondaga County over the past several years.
Over the past two years, the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division has been working in conjunction with the Manlius Police Department regarding the investigation of several burglaries throughout Onondaga County that has resulted in the loss of over $544,000.00 worth of cash and high end jewelry.
The suspects, who reside outside of New York State, traveled to Onondaga County, committed the burglaries, and then left the state. The suspects continued this operation until last evening at about 6:30 PM when they were apprehended at a Syracuse hotel by sheriff’s detectives and Town of Manlius PD members.
The investigation has revealed that the subjects arrested last night were involved in approximately 15 burglaries in Onondaga County to include Manlius, Lysander, Clay and Liverpool. The arrested are also suspects in burglaries that occurred in Ohio, Detroit, Illinois, Tennessee and New York City.
