Onondaga County Community College, for the first time ever, will have its own baseball and softball fields.

There's a ribbon-cutting ceremony today at both fields ahead of both baseball and softball teams taking on Niagara Community College.  OCC Athletic Director Mike Borz says the teams won't have to play or practice elsewhere, and players won't be asked to use their own vehicles to participate with the team.

The new fields use a synthetic turf surface that meets NCAA requirements.  They also have new dugouts, bullpens, and scoreboards.
