North Syracuse schools are looking again at layoffs in order to keep their budget under New York's tax cap.

The district's board of education met last night to consider cutting thirty positions to try and save the district 2 million dollars and keep them within the state's two percent tax cap.  Superintendent Annette Speach says these cuts could come quickly.  Speach says they're not counting on any drastic increase in state aide to save the jobs, and the cuts would be a mix of instructional and administrative staff.
