A dangerous situation for corrections officers at one Central New York prison, which has now been placed on lockdown.
The movement of hundreds of prisoners at the Marcy Correctional Facility in Oneida County has now been restricted after corrections officers say they conducted a week long search of dormitories there and found at least 90 homemade weapons.
The prison received an anonymous tip about the weapons and began a search over several days. The lockdown is now into it's third day as the search goes on.
The corrections officers union says assault on thier staff is up 17 percent in the last year, partly due to overcrowding because of recent prison closures.
