Madison County plans to conduct aerial spraying for EEE Tuesday night after five pools in the town of Sullivan had mosquitoes that tested positive for EEE.

Health department officials say this is the earliest evidence of EEE they've seen in years.  Their plan to spray beginning at 7:30pm Tuesday night coincides with warmer temperatures in the area, which results in a greater hatching of mosquitoes.  They also say that this may be the last chance to effectively reduce the mosquito population by spraying, since temperatures in the near future appear to be cooler.
