Syracuse, N.Y. – An East Syracuse lab has been sentenced for falsifying laboratory results.

Upstate Laboratories will be forced to pay $150,000 and will be on probation for 5 years.

The company pleaded guilty in July to falsifying more than 3,300 laboratory results from 2008 through 2010. Despite being out of business, the Federal Court also ordered it to prepare an environmental compliance plan and permit government inspections should it ever resume operations.
