A Judge has rejected arguments that the state's new gun law, the SAFE Act, was illegally rushed through the legislature.

Plaintiff Robert Schulz of Queensbury, argued unsuccessfully that there was no legal emergency allowing the bill to skip the normal debate period.

The judge also dismissed a claim that the law violates constitutionally-protected gun ownership rights.
