PENFIELD, N.Y. (AP) _ An online fundraising campaign is hoping to raise $5,000 to pay for the funeral of an 8-year-old western New York boy who died while trying to rescue his disabled grandfather from the man's burning mobile home.

The page set up on for Tyler Doohan says more than $4,770 has been raised as of Wednesday morning.

Authorities in the town of Penfield, just east of Rochester, say the boy died early Monday morning after he ran inside his grandfather's burning trailer home to rescue him because the man used a wheelchair and crutches after losing a leg.

Fire officials say Tyler's body was found just a few feet from his 57-year-old grandfather. His 54-year-old uncle also died in the blaze. Six other relatives escaped.
